Evesham United midfielder Ashley Williams was sent off in the last minute of Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Frome Town in the FA Trophy first qualifying round.
Williams was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Clayton Green in a lively tie at the Jubilee Stadium.
Lower-graded Evesham took the lead when Adam Mann fired a shot past Frome goalkeeper Kyle Phillips.
The Robins dominated the remainder of the first half with Lance Smith, Mann and Paul Fahy all coming close to doubling the hosts’ advantage.
It was a more even affair in the second period and Frome drew level with a drilled effort from Jon Davies.
Evesham had chances to clinch victory but the teams will meet at Frome for a replay on Wednesday night.
