Evesham entertained North Leigh at the Jubilee this afternoon and will rue the missed chances that meant settling for a point.

After a quiet start with only a few chances the away side went behind in the 17th minute when sloppy play led to Lance Williams putting North Leigh ahead.

Evesham began to create and a Stanley header was cleared off the line, followed up by a Haskayne shot that clipped the crossbar.  Mann failed to force the ball over the line and Harding headed over.

The home side finally equalised a minute before the break after good hold up play by Smith set up Garyn Preen whose precise shot went into the bottom right corner.

The second half saw lots of pressure exerted with headers from Williams and Smith going close and a big penalty shout late on not given.  Evesham spurned a great chance with their last attack which meant a point, when a narrow victory based on chances created would have been fairer.
