Evesham came from a goal down, after a sluggish start, to overpower second bottom Wantage Town at the Jubilee. With all other games postponed it was a chance to move to second and that they did in a 5-1 victory.

Mark Francis deservedly put Wantage ahead midway through the first half shortly after the visitors had missed a penalty.

In the 39th minute Mark Magee pounced on a defensive error and steered the ball home.  On the stroke of half-time a Lorcan Sheehan corner was met by Liam Harding who scored with a powerful header.

Just past the hour mark Magee hit his second after a good run and cool finish.

It was time for Lance Smith who came off the bench and bagged two in just three minutes, set up both times by Lewis Binns.  The first after fine control and a run cutting the ball back to Smith, the second from a through ball that Smith easily rounded the keeper to score.

So ten wins in a row, eleven unbeaten and the next match with Salisbury at the Jubilee.
