Striker Adam Mann shone in what was a good all-round team performance as Evesham United made it nine wins in a row at Wimborne Town.

Mark Magee opened the scoring after Mann saw a shot parried after half an hour.

Mann fired in the second after picking up the ball 35 yards out, beating two men and firing in a powerful shot that took a wicked bounce on its way into the bottom right corner in the final minute of the first half.

Carl Brown made his first Evesham appearance since the opening day of the season as a substitute and he set up Paul Fahy for the third goal in the 86th minute.

Wimborne pulled one back two minutes later through Tobias Holmes, but Evesham are now third, with a game in hand on second placed Tiverton Town.

Boss Paul Collicutt said: “That is the best Adam Mann has played for a long time, but it was a good team performance.

“It was a good game of football in wet conditions on a heavy pitch.”
