Manager Paul West says Evesham United are a long way off challenging for promotion.
The Robins head to fourth-placed Tiverton Town tomorrow (3pm) sitting 13th in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West, six points adrift of the play-offs.
But West, whose side has lost its last two matches against Taunton and Shortwood, reckons there is plenty of work to do.
“We haven’t got a divine right to win this league off the back of a relegation,” he said. “What is clear to me as a manager who has won this league and knows what it takes is we are a long way from getting a team to that standard.
“It’s about rolling our sleeves up and realising where we are as a team at this stage of the season.”
West is struggling to bolster his squad with striker Carl Brown and midfielder Simon Fitter having suspensions looming.
He admitted: “It’s like going Christmas shopping at the moment but the shops are closed.”
Striker Roland Agbor (broken wrist) misses out.
