Evesham United travel to Tavistock on Saturday in the Southern League Division One South.

The visitors come into the game on the back of a win in their last match, having beaten Melksham Town 4-3 at home.

Tavistock, meanwhile, lost their last match, 2-1 against Malvern Town.

With 50 goals in 28 games so far this season, Tavistock are scoring more than average in the league with 1.8 goals per game. But they are conceding more than average too, letting in 57 goals at a rate of 2.0 per game.

Evesham, meanwhile, are below average scorers, with 1.5 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.6. They have conceded 1.3 goals per game.

The hosts are in disappointing form in the Southern League Division One South, with one win and two draws from their last six games.

With two wins and four losses over that period, United’s form is slightly better – they have taken six points from 18, compared to Tavistock’s five.

Tavistock are 14th in the table after 28 games, of which they have won 11 and drawn four, earning 37 points.

The away side are five places ahead of the home team in ninth, with 11 wins and 11 draws putting them on 44 points.

In the last three years, Tavistock and Evesham have played each other on three occasions. Tavistock won one of them and Evesham the other.

Their last meeting was on November 25, when Evesham won 3-1 at home.
