November 2020

Dear Parents & Supporters

As we have entered another lockdown, staff are once again furloughed, coaches are twiddling their thumbs (busy planning for their return) and football halted. Hopefully, this will only be until the 2nd December and we can all continue to keep our kids active and back playing the game they all love.
We wanted to keep you up to date and informed with everything that we are doing as a club to keep us all positive and what plans we have for Christmas and the New Year.

Firstly, we wanted to do a check in to everyone, parents, players, grandparents, supporters, and anyone involved in the Evesham United Football Family, to check you are all ok. It is such a difficult time for a lot of people suffering with loneliness, worries about job security, kids’ mental health and physical wellbeing, alongside adults mental and physical wellbeing. As a club we want to check how everyone is coping and if we can help with anything. Even if it’s a phone call for a chat, an email to chat or if you want to make any suggestions for us, we are always open to new ideas.

Any topic, anytime you need to chat or contact us please make sure you do. We are here for you. We are a community club, and you are the heart of our club and only a phone call, email, message away. Just knowing someone Is there to listen can be all the help we need.

Please don’t hesitate to contact Karen on EUFCenquiries@yahoo.com, or message us on Twitter, Facebook and the website.

If you want to leave a message with your phone number for us to call you back, please do so.

We really appreciate all your support for the club through this difficult year and we are here for you too.

Some exciting news, we are hoping to have some fun over Christmas by organising mini inter club games (if restrictions allow) and celebrate this exciting time of the year. These will be organised as and when restrictions allow us to and we will inform you all as soon as we can.

Postponed league and cup games are busy being re arranged by the FA and your coaches will advise you asap when the new dates will be.

Planning for the New Year is in full swing. We have a new Men’s 5 a side league starting in January and a Women’s 5 a side league being organised as we speak with the FA.

Also, in the planning stage is Walking football which we will be looking to start in January and NEW toddler sessions for 2- 4-year olds will also be starting in the new year. Details for all the new sessions will be on our website along with details of how to sign up and who to contact.

Our twice postponed junior tournament will be re arranged for June 2021 and we will also be organising a girl only tournament to run alongside it. All extremely exciting and lots to look forward to.

Once again thank you from all of us at Evesham United for your continued support and patience, please stay safe and we will see you before Christmas.

Best Regards
Evesham United Football Club Management Team
