Great news for United fans is that League top scorer Lance Smith has rejected a move to higher graded Redditch United and is to stay at the Jubilee Stadium.

After holding talks with Redditch officials, Lance informed manager Paul Collicutt of his decision tonight. Collicutt believes he has made the right choice, “it is fantastic news that Lance is staying, he is a big part of the team and being a local lad he is loved by our supporters.” He added, ” Lance is part of the family we have at Evesham United and I know the rest of his team mates will be delighted with his decision. It has given me and the football club a huge boost and I hope he goes on to score a lot more goals between now and the end of the season”.
Lance has scored 25 league goals in 21 starts and 1 cup goal this season. The in-demand front man also turned down Northern Premier League Hednesford Town earlier in the season.
