In driving rain in the second half, Evesham came back from 2-0 down to earn a replay with their higher graded opponents Barwell from the Northern Premier League.

Evesham starting brightly creating the better chances, however, the visitors took the lead midway through the first half when Linden Dovey was adjudged to foul Sandhu in the box and Brady Hickey scored the resultant penalty.

It was two on the stroke of half-time when Owen Story burst through the Evesham defence and scored from ten yards.

Midway through the second half substitute Lance Smith had an effort that was turned into the net by the Barwell player Story.

Evesham continued to press and with 14 minutes left their cause was helped when Amar Sandu was sent off for a second yellow following a dive.

In the 81st minute Evesham levelled after a good run and cross by substitute Leon Jeanne that was tucked home from close range by Smith.

The replay will take place at Barwell on Tuesday evening at 7.45pm.
