Evesham played their first pre-season friendly entertaining Sky Bet League 2 side Newport County tonight.
Evesham took the lead after 6 minutes with a header from close range by Lance Smith from a corner. Byrne put Newport level from 6 yards following good build up play in the 32nd minute. The visitors then took the lead through Rene Howe following good work from Jolley in the 40th minute. Evesham levelled two minutes later as Smith struck for the second time direct from a free kick.

Second half goals from Klukowski on the hour with a fierce shot and Zebroski made the final score 2-4 in the 80th minute after a goalmouth scramble.
