Evesham United Reserves travelled to Atherstone in a league game knowing a win would see them move into third position, with games in hand.  Evesham once again set a pace high with a well taken goal by Oliver Burness, Jack Cullity with a second within ten minutes and a cracking strike from Harry Peters to go in 3 -1 at half time.

The visitors came out in the second half with the same intensity and the midfield trio, Tom Coley, Ryan Hodgetts and Paul Whitehouse dominating the battle in the centre of the park. Strike partners Burness and Cullity kept the back four of Atherstone busy with further opportunities. A great run from Harry Peters from wide right culminating with a well deserved goal from Hodgetts.

Changes were made and defender Cam Thorne made his debut to strengthen the back four, and Oliver Saunders coming on for Bartlam who had worked tirelessly in left midfield. Saunders taking the opportunity of a tired Atherstone with some slick passing from Evesham to enjoy two goals on his debut.

Next match: Coalville at home on Saturday 7th December, 3pm kick off. £3.00 entrance fee
