Evesham kept their faint hopes of the play-offs with an excellent victory over a hard working Tiverton Town side.

The home side went a goal down in the 10th minute when Levi Landricombe scored.

Evesham created half chances and looked likelier to score with Lewis Binns hitting the crossbar the best opportunity.  Tiverton did hit the bar also with their only other chance towards the end of the 45 minutes.

Early in the second half the visitors were given a golden opportunity to double their lead when Will Wellon was adjudged to have pulled back a Tiverton forward, but the resultant penalty was struck on to the crossbar.  Five minutes later Evesham made the most of the let off when a great run by Jacob Sloggett saw him set up Lewis Binns who finished well into the top corner.

The hosts took the lead for the first time in the match with ten minutes remaining, when a Jared Wilson corner led to a fine snapshot by Adam Mann from close range.  The lead lasted three minutes as a shot from just inside the box by Ethan Phillips beat Sawyer in the top right corner.

The decisive moment came in the 88th minute, when Lance Smith was fouled in the area and Adam Mann scored the resultant penalty for his second of the game and send the home fans away happy.

Evesham are on an unbeaten eight match run including five successive victories and remain in sixth place.
