Evesham drew with fellow play-off contenders Yate Town today at the Jubilee Stadium and remain in 5th place in the League table. It is now seven clean sheets in nine games and unbeaten in ten.
The first half was hard fought with both teams only creating the odd clear cut chance.
In the second half, Yate’s best opportunity came on 51 minutes when a shot was well tipped over the bar by Kevin Sawyer and from the resultant corner a header clipped the woodwork.
Evesham then got on top and they went close through Adam Mann on two occasions, the second a fierce drive that hit the post. Evesham continued to press resulting in a number of corners. Although Evesham had the better of the second half, a point against a good side is not a bad result.
