Evesham United entertained Conference North Gloucester City tonight in their second friendly of pre-season.

The hosts started well through Aaron Drake, but his effort went high and wide.

Gloucester created numerous opportunities but against the run of play, Evesham took the lead through Jared Wilson’s penalty, after Avery had brought down Ashley Edenborough in the box.

Then Sawyer kept his former side at bay, with two great saves.

After half time Gloucester levelled through Elliott Chamberlain slotting past Sawyer two minutes into his debut.

Evesham came back swiftly and only an incredible goal-line block by Matt Williams denied Sean Wood a great goal.

Adam Mann’s stunning attempt from 25 yards that cannoned off the post and nestled into the corner put the visitors ahead on 77 minutes and from which Gloucester went on to win.
