Evesham United secured their third consecutive home win in a week with a hard-fought victory over Sholing this afternoon.
Evesham had the better of the first half without creating much, the closest was a shot from Elliot Kennedy that hit the crossbar.
Sholing have a good spell early on in the second half, the home side coming into the game more on the hour-mark.
The winner came in the 86th minute when Evesham were awarded a penalty, the referee deemed that the Sholing defender Mike Byrne had handled in the box. Skipper Matt Sysum scored with the resultant penalty.
