Evesham ended a run of nine games without a win in League and Cup with a single goal victory over in-form Shortwood United.  The winning goal came early on when Gloucester City loanee Adam Mann scored from 15 yards latching on to a Jared Wilson through ball.

Shortwood almost equalised, but Liam Harding made a last-ditch tackle and a visitors free-kick later on hit the woodwork.  Meanwhile Harding had a header cleared off the line.  Evesham rode their luck at times but went into the break a goal up.

In the second half, Evesham had the better of the possession with Ashley Edenborough shooting wide twice and Adam Mann also going close.

Evesham Utd: Keir, Wilson, Wellon, Drake (Wood 70), Harding, Dovey, Jackson, Stanley (Brown 63), Edenborough, Mann, Slack (Washbourne 78)

Subs not used: Binns, L. Smith
