After three inspections, work on the pitch by the groundsman, volunteers and the players, Evesham managed to play their league game with Bishops Cleeve and record their eighth win in a row.  A healthy crowd of 324 turned out which was excellent considering the game only got the go ahead at 2.05pm.

With the pitch very heavy, both teams coped admirably with the conditions in the first half with Evesham having more possession and creating better chances.  Cleeve defended resolutely and did carry some threat with the occasional break.

In the second half, Nick Stanley put the home side ahead in the 48th minute with a 30 yard drive.  Adam Mann then scored twice in the 72nd and 74th minutes to put Evesham in control.  Substitute Ashley Edenborough added a third goal in a five minute period before he completed his brace with two minutes left of the game.

The win put Evesham back into the play-off positions in fifth place and this was the fifth 5-0 victory of the season.  Evesham have also kept six clean sheets in the last eight games.
