Evesham travelled to Dorset today to take on fifth placed Wimborne Town and came away with a well-earned point.

Despite missing six players, the visitors had the better of the first half and took the lead in the 18th minute through Cheltenham Town loanee Harry Williams who was also making his debut.  He took his goal well after excellent work down the right by Ashley Edenborough.  Soon after Williams had an effort cleared off the line.

However just before half-time Mark Gamble scored for the home side after some poor defending.

Wimborne had the better of the second half, helped by the sending off of substitute Nathan Jackson who within 6 minutes of coming on had picked up two yellow cards.

Some excellent saves by Evesham keeper Kevin Sawyer late on ensured a point was taken back to Worcestershire.

Full report to follow.
