Evesham crashed to their fifth league defeat in six matches after losing at play-off hopefuls Yate Town this afternoon.

The visitors took the lead on 11 minutes when a Joe Eyre corner was volleyed in by Carl Brown from just inside the box. Lance Smith then missed two chances when one on one against the goalkeeper and Elliot Kennedy was also denied.  Despite Evesham having the better of the first half, Yate scored with their only real chance of the half when Jordon Rogers scored with a tap in just before half-time.

In the second half, Rogers scored his second with a header on 55 minutes.  Yate had other chances until Evesham rallied late on with Marcus Palmer and Brown going close.
