Evesham United can make up ground on the teams above them when Shortwood United visit the Jubilee Stadium tomorrow (3pm) according to the Evesham Journal.

Paul Collicutt’s side romped to a 5-0 win at lowly Wantage Town last weekend to get their form back on track. But the ninth-placed Robins will have a bigger test against the Gloucestershire visitors.

Shortwood are two places and four points better off in the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West table.

Evesham, who were led to victory at Wantage by doubles from captain Matt Sysum and top scorer Adam Mann, are 10 points off the play-offs.

They need to put together a strong winning run for any chance of finishing in the top five.
