Paul Collicutt says being unable to field a settled side is hampering Evesham United’s chances of success writes Steve Carley of the Worcester News.

The Robins head to Shortwood United in Calor Southern League Division One South and West tomorrow (3pm) having lost their last two games against Didcot Town and Mangotsfield United.

Collicutt wants settled side

Collicutt has seen his team hit by a combination of suspensions, work commitments and illness but is hoping the situation will improve.

Striker Carl Brown and attacking midfielder Marcus Jackson should return after both completed their bans against Didcot on Tuesday, in which Richard Mansell’s 89th-minute equaliser was wiped out by Pablo Haysham’s winner seconds later.

However, striker Lance Smith is away with work for two weeks and centre-half Linden Dovey has a knee injury.

Collicutt said: “I have found it very hard to be able to filed the same side twice for whatever reason. I have increased the number of players we have signed and it’s helping to create more competition for players.”
