Evesham will be protecting an unbeaten away record at Didcot Town on Saturday, having drawn 0-0 at Yate Town last week according to the Gloucestershire Echo.

Jared Wilson is close to making his return from injury and he trained on Tuesday night, while long term absentee Lewis Binns played 90 minutes for Evesham’s reserve team last Saturday in a 1-1 draw against Sutton United Reserves.

Skipper Matt Sysum is rated as 50/50 after picking up an ankle problem early in the second half at Yate, but Ashley Williams returned to the bench after injury and is back in contention.  Striker Dan Macdonald has been signed from Monmouth Town.

Didcot enjoyed a 4-3 FA Cup first qualifying round replay win over VCD Athletic at home on Tuesday night and Collicutt expects them to challenge at the top of the table this season.

“Didcot will be on a high after their cup win and it’s a very hard place to go and get three points,” he said.

“They finished just outside the play-offs last season and they will be there or thereabouts this year. I always enjoy having a drink after the game with John Bailey, who I played with at Cheltenham Town and is now their chairman.”
