Evesham United manager Paul Collicutt is hoping former Aston Villa youngster Dan MacDonald will be the answer to his side’s goal-scoring woes, according to the Worcester News. The Robins are 10th in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West but have netted just nine goals in their nine league matches.
“One thing we have struggled to do this season is to score goals,” said Collicutt.
“Our defence has been strong and we have only conceded five times in the league.
“Dan came off the bench at Didcot and put the ball in the back of the net. He was at Aston Villa from the age of eight to 21 years old and has an excellent pedigree.”
Collicutt added: “We played our best football of the sea – son at Didcot and hit the woodwork four times and their chairman told me in the bar afterwards that we had played them off the park.
Defender Matt Sysum (ankle) is facing a fitness battle, while Jared Wilson (ankle) has had a scan on his injury.
